Hi, I'm Anton Burridge, owner of Burridge Electrical and a NAPIT Registered electrician serving home buyers, movers, and landlords across Kingswood.
Unlike national agency networks that subcontract your inspection to whoever is available, I personally carry out every spoke-level Home Buyer's EICR. I know exactly what hidden electrical defects to look for before you commit to exchanging contracts.
An EICR uncovers unseen hazards like outdated wiring, undersized main earthing, overloaded circuits, and unsafe fuse boards. Identifying these issues prior to exchange gives you documented evidence to negotiate repair costs or price reductions directly with the seller.
Meet Anton & Learn More →Under deadline for exchange? Get instant fixed pricing and lock in an inspection date for your property in Kingswood in under 60 seconds. We liaise directly with your estate agent or vendor to arrange key access.
Properties located across Regent Street, Kings Chase, and surrounding traditional residential streets often feature a mix of Victorian miners' cottages, 1930s terraced houses, and mid-century family estates. Many of these properties contain pre-1970s wiring requiring comprehensive inspection for C1 and C2 defects.
During pre-purchase safety inspections in Kingswood, we frequently identify aging re-wireable fuses (BS 3036), lead-sheathed cables, degraded insulation resistance, and heavy DIY modifications. Catching these defects prior to exchange prevents unexpected repair bills after you move in.
An EICR provides official written evidence of Code C1 and C2 electrical hazards. Use our report to ask the seller for a price reduction or require rectification before exchange.
Outdated cable insulation and obsolete fuse boards are leading causes of domestic property fires. We rigorously test circuits to confirm compliance with current BS 7671 safety regulations.
Buying a buy-to-let or investment property? EICRs are legally required every 5 years for UK rentals. Ensure your new purchase is safe and insurable from day one.

Had a socket put on the wall for our TV to be hung, Anton even went out of his way to hang the TV for us aswell. Outstanding service, quick, friendly and at a very good price. Even hoovered up after himself and left the area spotless.
Anton was absolutely brilliant, did a fantastic job on installing an EV charger , was kept informed when he was going to attend and he was more than happy to deal with my enquiries.
From the first visit and quote to fit an electric shower, Anton was professional, polite and friendly. The price quoted was fair and the job completed is exceptional. We now have a working shower and Anton showed me the problem with the existing electrical cable.

Many electricians in Bristol are simply not interested in the small jobs. They want the choice jobs and will drop you when a bigger, supposedly more lucrative project comes in.
Others advertise as electricians having no qualifications. They thrive on the basis that you don't understand what they do and as a result charging for shoddy, and often dangerous electrical work.
I set up Burridge Electrical to provide you with a quality service and provide you with exactly what you need from a qualified electrician.
